The Communications Committee acts as a medium to provide members with information about APTMA and APTMA’s activities.

These include:

• acting as a medium for the President and the Executive Committee to providing information to the members about APTMA’s activities on behalf of the members; its decisions; and any other relevant matter including providing access to approved minutes of meetings;

• ensuring that the Association's website is fit for purpose and is maintained in an up-to-date condition noting that the primary purpose of the website is to present, share, or display information or content on line which is relevant to the Association and its members;

• providing up-to-date content via the website and/or social media channels, including obtaining relevant content from members, and in particular chairs of the various committees and encouraging members to contribute relevant articles/submissions to the website;

• providing, where appropriate, a press officer to act as a spokesperson for the Association;

• providing details on the website of the list of members and their business details subject to any relevant constraints of the GDPR;

• providing historical content on the history of APTMA and of Intellectual Property in Ireland.
